The Research Assistant will help in the coordination and implementation of the project activities. S/he will support the Director of the Project in monitoring developments in Syria, in coordinating the network of partners and contacts in Syria and neighbouring countries, as well as in producing reports andanalysis relevant to the Programme’s activities.

Expected tasks:

1) Contributing to the project’s research activities through coordination of the project’s network of partners in Syria andneighbouring countries and drafting of short analytical pieces on selected topics;

2) Supporting and contributing to the organisation of workshops, conferences and policy dialogues in Italy, Brussels, Lebanon and Turkey: coordination with the research team; contacts and communication around the events; organisational support; contribution to drafting reports on the project’s activities.

3) Assist the director of the project and the project manager in administrative and project management procedures.
