    Tine Gade holds a doctoral degree from Sciences-Po, Paris (2015). She is a senior research fellow at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI). She is a 2016–18 Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence, Italy, and a senior lecturer in Middle Eastern studies at the University of Oslo (UiO) 2014–16. Gade specializes on the study of Sunni Islamism and political leadership in Lebanon and Iraq, and is the scientific coordinator of the HYRES (Hybrid pathways to resistance in the Islamic world) research project.
