Manhal Baresh is a journalist and an Academic Assistant with the Wartime and Post-Conflict in Syria (WPCS) project at the European University Institute (EUI). His work focuses on local and regional dynamics of the Syrian crisis, working extensively on military mapping and armed groups in northern Syria, local councils, and civil management. He is a regular contributor and commentator to Arabic newspapers and TV Channels.
