Cynthia Salloum is a research fellow working on the role of non-state actors in domestic and foreign policy —including diasporas, lobbies and religious actors. Her research also covers topics of political violence, war studies and international security. She was a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute for two years. She teaches at Sciences Po, Paris, since 2014. Previously she was affiliated for four years to the Institute for Strategic Research (IRSEM) at the French Ministry of Defense (2011-2015).
