The Trump administration made its intention towards Jerusalem clear when in 2018 it relocated the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. In accordance with Peace to Prosperity, the borders of Jerusalem will be set to remain along the separation wall that Israeli has already unilaterally built. This, it states, will create an ‘un-divided’ Israeli capital in Jerusalem to the West of this wall, allowing for a Palestinian capital behind the wall:

‘The sovereign capital of Palestine will be in the section of East Jerusalem located in all areas East and north of the existing security barrier, including Kafr Aqab, the eastern part of Shu’fat [the refugee camp] and Abu Dis, and could be named Al Quds [Arabic for Jerusalem] or another name determined by the State of Palestine’ (p.17).
